The Register of Merit Circle of Honor Awards utilize the Chow Chow Club, Inc.'s existing Register of Merit (ROM) program to recognize committed long-term breeders and/or co-breeders. The Circle of Honor is awarded at three different levels based on the number of chows that the person bred or co-bred that have earned the ROM title:
Chows owned and/or bred by Harvey and Penny Kent that have qualified for a Circle of Honor Award:
Bitches must have a minimum of four different progeny of which at least two must be AKC Champions of record that contribute a combined total of a minimum of eighty (80) points.
Brood bitches owned and/or bred by Harvey and Penny Kent that have qualified for the Chow Chow Club, Inc. Register of Merit:
In the early 80s the Chow Chow Club, Inc. established the Register of Merit program to recognize dogs and bitches that consistently produced quality offspring. Included are progeny that complete championships, obedience or tracking titles, gain OFA certification, as well as place in the group, go Best in Show or Best in Specialty Show, or place in the Top Ten Chow Chows for the year. There are many ways to earn points in addition to those mentioned.
In order for a Dog to qualify for the Register of Merit they must have a minimum of eight different progeny of which at least four must be AKC Champions of record which combined earn a minimum of one hundred (100) points.
